What Is The Setting Of Your Kennel Location?
What is the location and setting of your dog boarding kennel facility – will the dogs be in your house, living on cement, will they co exist with your personal dogs, do they have to stay outside, are you in the city, in a busy subdivision, in a commercial area, near any high traffic areas...?
Harmony Farm Kennel is located just 35 minutes SE of downtown Kamloops, out in the country in the beautiful Paxton Valley at Monte Lake, BC, off Hwy 97S on route towards the Armstrong and Vernon, BC areas.
It is situated, on 35 private serene country acres amidst fenced pastures, creeks and trails throughout enchanted forests all surrounded by mountains of seemingly endless crownland. Located with southern exposure, all the private dog kennel accommodations and adjoining play yards are bright, naturally tree shaded and offer a 160 degree view of gardens, pastures and vast mountainside across our valley.
Our farm, our dog kennel and even the working sheep barns are all quiet - just the way we love it! Healthy, happy, exercised dogs living in a peaceful harmonious setting with private accomodations, personal attention and exercise, translates to content quiet dogs. Actually, a person would never know we have a kennel here for how calm it is and that is exactly why we live out in the country! (Our very first customer, way back when got out of her care and with a sigh exclaimed, "You have great dog zen here!")
The kennel is naturally bright, warm and cozy. It is very well insulated, heated in the cooler months and naturally well ventilated and cool thanks to surrounding shade trees, during the warm seasons. The kennel has laminate flooring (no cement anywhere) and is built top to bottom, of comforting pine and cedar. At no time are your dogs combined with my own personal home, my working farm dogs or other dog guests of Harmony Farm Kennel.
Our buildings are many acres from any neighbouring houses and 1000' from Paxton Valley Road, which has very little traffic at anytime. All animals on the farm are entirely protected and fenced off from any dog interactive area, yet the kennel itself, a seperated section, shares the same roof span as the main feature barn.
